Suddenly, but peacefully, on February 4, 2007, at Scunthorpe General Hospital, Melanie, aged 31 years passed away.
The cherished daughter of Carol and Mick, much loved sister of Joanne, special granddaughter of Margaret and the late Geoffrey Hodge, also Wilfred and the late Sylvia Spencer, niece, cousin, special friend to Karyn and Ant and a dear friend to many.
A year
How quickly a year has passed. I can still clearly remember Melanie bouncing through her time at 6th Form, and the hugs and cuddles we shared. I hope her family and those she left behind are coping ok.

Mel, I will always remember walking the dogs and watching them play, chilling out to rubbish TV, and making late night coffees to help us study. These memories, and many more, will always make me smile.
